Hi Bill, wanted to let you know that the pram you may know as Grace is actually a Marquise. The word grace is just an adjective used to describe the pram. Each page in that catalogue used a different adjective for the different pram descriptions. I did try to let the previous owner know this as well. Hope you will pass on the correct info. Kathy |

What a lovely website.Do you have a programme of "Pram" events and shows. I have been a lover of Prams (with or without occupants) since my childhood. I really regret parting with my 1968 Silver Cross when my boys grew up and my Grandson who is now almost a teenager, had a very poor appology which passed off as a pram when he was born. I only wish the so called "normal" people would not deem adult ladies who have a desire push "Real prams" as odd, after all, men playing with train sets and model cars is considered ok. My boys would have me certified if i was to walk round pushing a pram, after the recent television documentary on Fake Babies. Keep up the good work there are lots of us out here who would love to have the guts to follow your passion for prams. Ann |

Hello to both of you,
WHAT A FANTASTIC SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!I have enjoyed so much looking at all your beautiful prams.I have four daughters (all grown up)and unfortunately none of them have the fanatical love of prams that I have always had.Infact as little girls it was always difficult to buy them one, they always prefered somethingelse.Anyway it hasn't stoped me even if they do think i am "sad".I only have 5 dolls silver cross prams.I would love the full size versions, You are so lucky.I will be checking your website regularly now I have found it to see where you will be displaying this year.I can't wait to see the real thing.
Best wishes to you both Sheila X |

Congratulations on such an interesting and 'family orientated' website.
Just as some people drool over beautiful cars, my eyes are drawn to 'REAL' prams. I was born in 1952 and I have some wonderful photos taken of me in my immaculate black Marmet. Indeed, my first ever memory is that of being about 3yrs of age, standing in the front room and watching my mother and grandmother polishing the huge pram wheels as it stood on old newspapers on the carpet. We were being posted to Germany with the R.A.F. and it was being sold before we went abroad. I can remember being told 'not to cry' as I 'would have one of my own for my children one day'. Sadly, it was not meant to be and I still feel sad that I never knew what happened to my pram which had been bought from Fenwick Ltd of Newcastle where my mother worked for Elizabeth Arden before she gave birth to me.
I shall look out for your exhibitions should they come to Hexham area and you never know, I might just get to 'have a little push'.
Well done!
Katherine (Brandon). |

Lovely website - I have had such a happy time browsing through all the lovely prams shown. I always longed for a traditional coach built pram when our four were babies, but we never had the space. The nearest I ever got was my youngest daughter's Oberon dolls pram. But I made a rule with my husband that as soon as we had grandchildren, I would have the pram of my dreams for them. Well, two of our daughters married last year and now have two babies on the way!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh joy. So I need to set about choosing that pram. Is it possible to visit - I live just outside Leeds?
Best wishes, Elaine |

I have been trying to build a collection of prams, not so easy in usa. Do you know of any other collectors in the states.
I have currently got 3prams in UK waiting to be shipped (2 have been restored by clovergem)
I also have a dolls silvercross pushchair exactly the same as one I had for my children. It needs restoration but clovergem did not do that.
Any suggestions?
Your prams are fantastic I am green with envy! |

I was a pleasure to look at so many lovely prams, I'm sure all the babies and dolls who have used them over the years have been very comfortable. My two older grandchildren used their Silvercross Windsor a lot and it was then used recently for their young cousin. The doll's pram is also being used by various cousins and will return to me when my youngest grandaughter is a bit older. Thanks again for letting me view your site.

I have just looked through your photos and can only say wow. It does not really portray how I feel as I look at these beautiful prams from a more refined and stylish era. I do have a Silver cross pram circa 1980. My dream is to one day own a coach built preferably with the leather strapping. I would even be happy to have to restore one although obtaining parts is going to be an extremely costly enterprise more because of the freight costs importing goods. Meanwhile there are all these wonderful photos to scroll through and dreams to dream ............ |

Wonderful website, great to see someone as interested in "proper" prams as I am! Would be interested to know if you or any of your guests collect pram brochures as I am always on the lookout for more to add to my large collection! Look forward to any new photos you may be posting & if you need help identifying any model I would be happy to help if I can. Kind regards Edith Love. |
